NEXII has retained most of its workforce and committed C$8 million to upgrade its primary manufacturing facility in Squamish, BC, aiming to enhance production capacity, quality, and safety standards.

NEXII Inc. has finalized the acquisition of Nexii Building Solutions’ assets under Canadian court supervision on June 28, 2024, marking a pivotal step towards the relaunch of NEXII’s products.

Specializing in precision-manufactured structural wall and roof panel systems for the building industry, NEXII addresses challenges such as rising construction costs, the demand for shorter schedules, and the need for a reduced carbon footprint.

NEXII’s technology attempts to accelerate construction schedules while cutting carbon emissions to a third of traditional concrete methods. Reportedly, NEXII’s panels have been used by companies such as Walmart, Chase Bank, AECOM, and Starbucks.

Russ Lambert, a principal with 3 Gates, said, “NEXII’s construction techniques represent a significant advancement over conventional methods. We anticipate that with the relaunch, the restructured NEXII will become a standout success story in North American technology.”

Blake Beckham, another principal with 3 Gates, added, “The dedication and skill of the Squamish workforce impressed us immediately, guiding our decision to maintain operations there and invest in facility upgrades and expansion. Both the Canadian team and the Squamish plant are integral to our mission of delivering high-quality, eco-friendly buildings across North America.”

Bill Tucker, a Vancouver-based construction executive, assumes the interim CEO role to oversee NEXII’s restructuring and growth. He will later join the Board of Directors as the Canadian representative. Mr. Tucker expressed, “I am privileged to contribute to the restructuring and expansion of NEXII. Our shared goal is to build a profitable company that drives significant advancements in carbon reduction and construction efficiency across North America.”

According to Mr. Tucker, operations transitioned to NEXII, Inc. on July 24, 2024.
